It is well known that regular exercise is good, both for our physical health and mental well being. Working with the L.B.Bromley and other agencies we aim to improve the facilities for suitable exercise in our town centre parks for all ages. Examples of where this is already possible include. · Jogging and strenuous walking circuits especially around Queen’s Mead and the slopes of Martin’s Hill. · Playground areas, for primary children, in both Church House Gardens and Martin’s Hill. · Football pitches on Queen’s Mead. · Tennis courts, 3 off, in Church House Gardens. · Skateboard & BMX park in Church House Gardens with plenty of features.
Additionally we are currently. · Supporting a proposal by SUSTRANS for a safe off road cycle route from Martins Road through Queen’s Mead and Church House Gardens to Ravensbourne Road. · Investigating with L.B.Bromley the possibility of supervised children’s adventure play, including construction of dens, in Glebe Wood.
